About The Teacher
Katie Levine is a pianist, composer, and teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Piano Performance from Cornish College of the Arts. Katie is active in the local music community as a past president of the Seattle Music Teachers Association, and is on the board of the Washington State Music Teachers Association.
About the Studio
Lessons are located in Katie's home studio in North East Seattle.
Our studio is home to resident piano-cats, Mr. Weasley and Mouse. They both enjoy providing moral support to piano students, laser pointers, and eating.
“Katie taught piano lessons to my children when they started to play at age of 7. I was impressed that she was able to cajole my very reluctant son to play and motivated him enough that he started to practice on his own. She picked the right songs for each child to learn and even simplified their favorite songs for them-they loved it. She pays attention to basics like wrist positions. Her lesson is fun and effective; both of them progressed rapidly. She is very professional- responsive communication and on time.”
